Misty’s Senior Photos

This girl is so sweet and so much fun! She is the daughter of my mom’s cousin…(so what does that make us? Second cousins? First cousins once removed? No idea.) I’ve known here since she was about 14 I think, and actually took photos of her just for fun a few years ago, while visiting my grandparents here in Arkansas. I never would have guessed that I would be taking her senior photos a few years later, or that we BOTH would be living in Northwest Arkansas now!!:)It’s so fun to see where God takes us in life. And there is so much in store for this girl as she has joined the National Guard and starts boot camp after graduation!! Congratulations, Misty!!

So excited for you, girl!! I can’t wait to see what exciting things are ahead for you!

Adele’s First Birthday Party…

It’s been almost a month since Adele’s birthday party, and I still can’t believe she’s actually ONE! We had a simple family party for her at our new home in Arkansas. Everything was handmade and turned out just as I hoped. “Adele belle” is such a precious, special person in our family, and it was so much fun to celebrate HER.

Here are a few photos from the party… Sweet memories for a sweet girl…

Love you baby girl!! Can’t wait for more years with you!

Adele Emmaline is ONE

My sweet baby just turned ONE. I cannot believe how quickly time flies or how fast babies grow, but I wish it would slow down a little.

This girl is such a blessing to her momma’s heart. Her independence is fierce (as evidenced by the fact that she is walking in pretty much every photo) but her spirit has such a soft, sweetness to it. She is a lover but not a cuddler. A giggler, but not often. An admirer of her two big brothers, but never a pushover. She is such a happy, precious, and beautiful personality in our family and we are so thankful God chose us to be her parents. We can’t wait to watch her grow…just not too fast…

I love you with my whole heart, little girl. So thrilled that God placed you in our family…

the adorable “P” family…

I absolutely loved everything about this session with this sweet family. Not only is dad also named Casey (best name ever), but Ashli is absolutely gorgeous AND they have the happiest baby boy- little Carter man. This was their first time having family photos taken, and I was so honored that they asked me. Ashli chose the Desert Botanical Garden as our location (a brand new spot for me) because her grandfather helped construct much of the park. What an amazing place!! So much color and vibrance, coupled with gorgeous light and purpley desert, made for one of my favorite family sessions ever. I am so thrilled for this happy fam…and I vote they make more babies. Anyone second that?? Ha! Here is a taste of the cuteness I got to photograph…

I’m SO glad I met you Casey, Ashli and Carter. Thanks for such a fun night! (and I wasn’t kidding about more cute babies…)

Ashley and Aaron are engaged!!!

Ashley and Aaron are one of those couples who are so comfortable and happy together that they make everyone around them comfortable and happy too. They are both heavily involved in theater and the arts (Aaron actually works in the field) and they really wanted their engagement session to capture their shared passion. When they suggested Heritage Square and the arts district in downtown Phoenix as a location, I was immediately excited. It’s such a unique and funky area of town, with so much color and life, and it was the perfect place to photograph them. I loved spending the morning with them- hanging out, checking out Phoenix, and of course smooching for the camera! (Well, they were the ones doing the smooching, not me. Ha!) The cuteness between the two of them made for photos that were so fun to capture. I can.not.wait. for their wedding day in October…

Congrats Aaron and Ashley…4 months and counting!!:)
